Making filters easy to place and repeat
The holder was designed for a Horiba light source where filters needed to be inserted cleanly into the optical path. The goal was a practical lab part: aligned, easy to handle, and simple enough to manufacture.
Designed for high temperatures
This design was in the direct path of a 75W white xenon lamp. For this reason the design took into account the expension of the metal, desigining the connection a bit loose. The base and cover were designed as separate parts for CNC manufacturing.
