Adapter for connecting instrument hardware to optical hardware
The adapter bridges the monochromator output and a cage-system optical path. That kind of part is easy to underestimate.
The design keeps the optical path in line with the cage system and the mechanical interface. It is a small adapter, but it makes the larger measurement setup more modular and easier to reconfigure.
